Research Objectives

Research objectives represent public health issues with a high health or economic burden or significant disparities between population groups — but they aren't yet associated with evidence-based interventions.

The main objectives in health research include:

• Discovering patterns and trends in health problems.
• Predicting the number of cases of a disease and its distribution in the population.
• Explaining the etiology of disease.
• Studying the course of a disease quantitatively from onset to outcome.
• Measuring the magnitude and distribution of health problems.
